PRAYER

Matt. 5:1,2
1.) Now when He (Jesus) saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain side and sat down. His disciples cam to Him.

2.) And He began to teach them, saying:
Matt 6:5 "But when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men.

Matt 6:6 When you pray, go into your room, and pray to your Father, who is unseen.
Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matt 6:7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.

Matt. 6:8 Do not be like them (pagans), for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

Matt. 6:9-14
9.) This is how you should pray:
"Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name,

10.) Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

11.) Give us today our daily bread.

12.) Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13.) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever.

Amen.

14.) For if you forgive men when they sin against you, Your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.

I'm Not Mad at You, But God Might be!

Romans 1:18-25

{18} The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their weckedness,

{19} since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

{20} For since the creation ofthe world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and device natue--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

{21} For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile darkened.

{22} Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools

{23} and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

(24) Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

{25} They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and servec crfeated things rather than the Creator---who is forever praised. Amen.

The Acknowledgment of Jesus -- Matt. 10:32-40

32) Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.

33) But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

34) "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

35) For I have come to turn " 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law---

36) a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.'

37) Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his father more than me is not worthy of me;

38) and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

39) Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

40 He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me.
