The Lord Will Raise Us Up

"We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed . . . . .
knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus
and will present us with you . . .
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,
while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal,
but the things which are not seen are eternal.
{2 Corinthians 4:8, 9, 14, 16-18}.

Your Adversary

Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Our redeemer. The Lord. Our Comforter.

Because YOUR adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion.
Seeking whom he MAY devour. Not will, not can,
but MAY (implying that permission has to be given).
The devil not only is a liar, the devil has no power.
So, he seeks whom he MAY devour - In other words,
the devil needs permission to devour you.
Satan has no power except the power you allow him
to deceive you out of.
So, you say Preacher, how can I not give the devil power?

The Lord Jesus Christ is as alive and real today in spirit as He was in the days of old. I met Him some years ago at a time when I was in desperate need of a friend and a change in the lifestyle that I was living.
"If it wasn't for the Lord, where would I be." is not a cliche for me and many others. We would truly be lost if it wasn't for the Lord.
But the God of all grace and power saw fit to save us from destruction and allow us to come into His marvelous light.
He is real.
